Time Warner Cable Presents 100 HD Channels in NYC
Looking to stay competitive with Verizon’s FiOS TV presence in New York City, Time Warner Cable is now providing subscribers with 100 high-definition channels. Available in NYC’s five regions, the HD expansion was completed on February 5. The improved line-up consists of 65 standard channels, included with any HD-ready receiver or DVR, in addition to 35 premium HD channels available to subscribers.
"With the vast majority of HD channels included free with digital service, Time Warner Cable offers the easiest transition to HD and the best value of any provider today," said Executive Vice President of Time Warner Cable New York, Howard Szarfarc.
In July 2008, Verizon launched FiOS TV in New York City offering more than 100 HD channels. Time Warner’s recent addition of 100 HD channels in NYC will provide residents with an alternative in HD programming.
