This week, Patrick Swayze joined Farrah Fawcett, Michael Jackson, Edward Kennedy, Billy Mays, and the countless other celebrities and public figures who passed away in 2009. Spike TV, a popular American
cable television network, commemorated Golden Globe-nominated Patrick Swayze's life by airing cult-classic "Road House" on September 19th. The telecast featured a special tribute to Swayze, who died from pancreatic cancer at the age of 57. Several cable TV networks have been broadcasting some of Swayze's most popular movies, including "Dirty Dancing," while A&E Network broadcast a marathon of "The Beast." This series was the last television project completed by the fallen actor. The marathon was supplemented with a memorial tribute called "Bio Reminders: Patrick Swayze."
